The St Louis Shoot all started back in 2006 as just a small group of firework enthusiasts getting together for some BBQ, a bonfire and to shoot some FIREWORKS!  That first small and intimate event included about a dozen guys, of which half of them took their passion, skills and know how and with coordination and planning, turned it into the event it is today.

What it is today, is a 4 day long event near St Louis, Missouri.  The event is sponsored annually by as many as 40 different companies in the industry.  On Thursday evening a “Meet N Greet” is held where the group starts to congregate for a meet and greet in anticipation and share stories of years past and the visions of what is next to come.  Friday has become industry night with companies bidding for demo slots to showcase their product lines in the night skies and the first of the setup days for the main event. Then Saturday night, the highlight, is a non-stop 2+ hour barrage of the best firework displays from some of the most talented pyrotechnicians you will ever witness anywhere!  This is a spectacle that should not be missed.  Sunday is reserved for the closing details and clean-up where hundreds of volunteers help with the task of bringing the property back to the pristine state is was before we arrived.

We have switched locations in 2014 as the prior location was filling early at a capacity of 5,000 people.  The event was paired with an existing event for Paw Stoppers, a regional organization that raises funds for K-9 police dogs to supplement training, equipment and even medical bills for retired police dogs.  During the day, activities in the park for Paw Stoppers includes a huge car show, live bands, kiddie rides, K-9 demonstrations, food and much more.

In 2010 the St Louis committee partnered with the Missouri Pyrotechnics Association (MoPyro) as a second beneficiary of the event  and have since secured 3 board of directors positions with MoPyro.  Click HERE for more information on Paw Stoppers or HERE for more information on MoPyro.   The St Louis Shoot has partnered to raise over $100.000   for local non profits in recent years benefiting the community in many ways.  We hope to see you there.
